Patrick Christys has shared a direct message from Nigel Farage after it has been reported that Tory MPs have urged Rishi Sunak to offer Nigel Farage a deal to make him the UK’s ambassador to the US or hand him a peerage in return for not standing for Reform at the election.
Speaking on a leaked tape Tory MP Danny Kruger said Reform UK's attacks on the Conservative Party are "mostly valid."
Speaking on GB News host Patrick Christys said: "Prime Minister Rishi Sunak hasn't just given up. He's already moved on. Tory MP Danny Kruger is being caught on tape saying what everybody's thinking.
"He raises the issue that he thinks that Reform could replace the Tories and also says that they are bang on the money when it comes to the key issues.
"Well, the Reform Party is now beating the Tories with working-class voters in the North, and it's level with them in the Midlands as well. And they're neck and neck, apparently with the 50 to 64-year-old age bracket.
"Rishi Sunak appears to be not attempting to win them back. He could have done something about legal immigration, but now it turns out that he never actually cared about it.
He added that Robert Jenrick told him directly: "Both Suella and I wrote on several occasions, often together, sometimes on our own.
"I wrote privately to the Prime Minister setting out the case for reducing illegal migration, and we didn't routinely get responses."
Patrick added: "Any conservative politicians holding out hope that Rishi might develop an urge to buy Nigel Farage off and stop him from wiping the Tories off the map by giving him a cushy job as our envoy to America.
"That was doing the headlines earlier on and that was the rumour today.
"Unfortunately, I've got some bad news for you. I called Nigel at about 4 p.m. today, and I asked him whether or not there was any chance of this happening."
In the conversation, Nigel told Patrick: "I am not for sale. If they wanted to do this, they should have done this in 2017.
"Rishi is finished. The fact that they are thinking of doing this now shows what dreadful people they are."
Patrick quipped: "I don't think he's taking the job, do you?"
According to recent YouGov polling, the party is on track to get 16 per cent of the vote, with the Tories on 21 per cent and Labour on 40 per cent.
The Tory MP for Devizes, whose mum is Bake Off judge Prue Leith, said Reform UK was a "destructive force" that was "absolutely killing" his party.
