Would the return of Nigel Farage to front line Politics destroy the Tories? Simple answer no.
There is however a very large BUT. Nigel is charismatic and would attract many Tory voters who see the Conservative party as too woke and more like a socialist Government than a full blooded Tory party.
With the huge borrowing of £430billion to bail out population out through Covid and another £50bn on energy support out Tory Government has borrowed more than and socialist Government.
Now I would argue there was justification to help our population through these crisis but it now means we are the most highly taxed individuals in more than 50 years.
Some would argue best socialist Government ever. So both the Conservatives, Labour and Liberals are all fishing in the same muddy waters for votes.
So Nigel could really exploit the Tories difficulties on not just the economy but also immigration both legal and illegal.
The Rwanda plan has some merits to act as a deterrent but the courts and left leaning lawyers have in my view scuppered it and it’s doomed.
So Nigel Farage standing as a leading Reform candidate would take extra votes from the Tories.
I as a critical friend to the Tories would suggest that all that would do is cement Labour's victory and add to Britain’s woes of more taxes more immigration and more economic crises.

The default position of the British voter in my humble opinion is the centre. They will vote centre right and centre left, go too far to the right or left and you will lose votes.
You take the last election in 2019, on the door step there was good support for getting Brexit done and many liked Boris but some did not, so I would say to them how do you get on with Jeremy Corbyn? "Oh we don’t want him too dangerous for the country". So I would say I think I have persuaded who you should vote for.
My Conservative majority in Tiverton and Honiton was nearly 25,000 and there were many seats with bigger majorities.
But again there is a but. This was achieved by a complete split in the votes on the left in my old constituency. Labour came second, Lib Dems not far behind and a good vote for the Greens.
By the way I was told Greens are like a tomato they start off Green but they soon go Red.
So the point I am making is at the last election it was perfect for the Tories, get Brexit done totally split the opposition votes.
This election will be the mirror image after nearly 15 years of Conservative Government. Three leaders and economic slowdown, the left vote will consolidate around whichever party on the left will defeat the Tory candidate.
So I would argue even at this late hour, the Parliament voter on the right should support Rishi Sunak and the Tories rather than vote for any other party on the right which will allow Mr flip flop Starmer in to No10.
So I say to Nigel the choice is yours, I am a democrat and it is up to you.
